Ukrainian TV channels do not follow the standard of balance (only 12% of messages are contain two or more opinions) and the evaluations addressed to political sides depend on TV channel owners.
This is shown today at the press-conference dedicated to monitoring of the Academy of Ukrainian Press conducted with participation of scholars from the Institute of Sociology, NAS of Ukraine using the content analysis method regarding seven Ukrainian leading TV channels’ prime-time news – ‘Inter’, ‘1+1’, ‘Ukraina’, ‘STB’, ‘ICTV’, UA: First and the 5th Channel. News was analyzed during the week, June, 6-11, 2016.
