On the 25th of January, 2017 in Zaporizhzhya, the training ‘Interactive learning forms and methods while teaching media literacy course’ for teachers of Classical Private University with the support of U-Media Program, Internews-Network.
At the event participants got familiar with the topic by means of various interactive forms suggested by Tetyana Ivanova, Doctor of Education, professor, coach.
Participants grasped the notion ‘interactive learning forms’ and their relevance in the process of teaching media literacy course, peculiarities of media literacy educating for screen-screen generation, negative consequences of social networks in cultivating media literacy, secrets of manipulating with the audience.
Besides that, the training curriculum supposed a score of interesting games, for instance, the last one was ‘Secret Giovanni’ game aimed at showing that 99% of information is accessible in the contemporary World. In order to be media literate, one should select the relevant data, consider all the opinions and points of view, be able to persuade the students that information can be different and it does not reflect the reality but only represents.
