On 27 March 2025, a large-scale regional online forum "Media PROсвіт: Challenges and Opportunities" was held, organised by the Luhansk Regional Institute of Educational Policy and Practice in cooperation with the Department of Education and Science of the Luhansk Regional State Administration. The event brought together more than 300 teachers from Luhansk region, scientists, heads of educational institutions and experts from all over Ukraine.
The purpose of the event was to discuss the implementation of media education in the practice of the New Ukrainian School, exchange experience in creating a safe media environment, and promote new practices of media literacy.
The Academy of Ukrainian Press was an active partner of the forum.
Maksym Zaporozhchenko, manager of media education programmes at the AUP, presented resources that can be useful for educators, teachers, lecturers and media coaches:
The programme of the forum included presentations on the psychology of media trauma, protecting children from digital threats, developing critical thinking, creating own media products, as well as practical cases of implementing media education in secondary schools, vocational schools, out-of-school and higher education institutions.
