The "Medianushivtsi" Initiative, in Partnership with the Academy of Ukrainian Press, Announces the Results of the All-Ukrainian Competition
The initiative group "Medianushivtsi," in partnership with the Academy of Ukrainian Press (AUP), announces the results of the All-Ukrainian competition “Practical Media Literacy in the New Ukrainian School (NUS). Grades 5-7.” The competition aimed to identify the best exercises for integrating media literacy into various fields of education, including language and literature, civic and historical studies, natural sciences, and the arts.
Out of 62 applications submitted, the jury selected 21 top exercises that promote methods for integrating media education into the teaching of various subjects and integrated courses. These exercises help students develop critical thinking about the content of media texts and sources of information, providing practical tools for NUS teachers.
Rewards and Recognition
The winners will receive diplomas and honorariums. All winning exercises will be included in the online manual “Practical Media Literacy in NUS: Grades 5-7” and will be published on AUP's Media Education and Literacy Portal.
