Experts from the Academy of Ukrainian Press (AUP) continue to represent Ukraine as an important partner in the international arena, having successfully participated in the «Estonian Media Literacy Experience» training program organized by the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research. The event was supported by the Estonian Center for International Development (ESTDEV) and became a platform for sharing best practices in media education.
Participation in the program became possible thanks to cooperation with the InfoTeen.UA project organizers, who actively promoted the involvement of Ukrainian specialists in international training. Yuliia Huza, project manager of the Academy of Ukrainian Press, successfully completed the program, which lasted from October 22 to 25, 2024 in Tallinn, and received a certificate confirming her achievements.
The training program covered the following key topics:
AUP is grateful for the unique opportunity to join the program: “We are sincerely grateful to our partners from InfoTeen.UA for their support and invitation to this extremely vital project. Such initiatives allow us to integrate the best international experience into the development of media literacy in Ukraine, which is especially important in the current context of information challenges”.
The event has become an essential platform for establishing international relations, sharing experience and bringing new ideas to work with Ukrainian schoolchildren, teachers and the public.
InfoTeen.UA, as one of the key organizers, is working to increase the level of media literacy among youth in Ukraine. Their contribution to the involvement of Ukrainian specialists in international programs demonstrates the desire to strengthen the educational front of our country.
The Academy of Ukrainian Press has been a leader in media education in Ukraine for over 20 years. As an industry leader, the AUP develops and implements educational programs, creates guides for teachers, conducts trainings for educators and journalists, and implements large-scale national and international projects. The AUP’s work is aimed at developing critical thinking, media literacy, and information security, which is especially important in today's hybrid threat environment.
The Academy of Ukrainian Press not only promotes media education in Ukraine, but also actively implements international experience in its projects, forming new approaches to working with young people and educators.
The Academy of Ukrainian Press is grateful to the project organizers and partners for the opportunity to join this important initiative and looks forward to further productive cooperation for the development of media education both in Ukraine and abroad.
