JULY 10, 1985 — APRIL 20, 2024
38 YEARS, JOURNALIST
Andriy will forever be 38 years old. His life was cut short while performing a combat mission near the village of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia region).
For him, the war began back in 2014. Andriy had a heightened sense of justice, which made him deeply sensitive to all political disagreements and quarrels among Ukrainians. He was a sincere patriot, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and a combat medic in an infantry battalion. He always defended the idea of Ukraine's independence and actively highlighted it in his work.
As a journalist, he wrote articles on historical topics and published interviews with scholars in the newspaper "Fakty." Before that, he worked at the publication "Telegraf," where he produced in-depth interviews with historians who warned about Russia's invasion. In his materials, he also warned that Russia does not consider Ukraine an independent state.
Andriy was a graduate of the Department of History at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He was one of the best students in his course, knew foreign languages, and had an excellent knowledge of world history.
Andriy fought for Ukraine for ten years while simultaneously working as a journalist. He died as a warrior — on the battlefield.
Andriy was buried in the Alley of Heroes at the Lisove Cemetery in Kyiv.
