Academy of Ukrainian Press welcomes delegation from Ghana to strengthen international cooperation

A landmark meeting with a parliamentary delegation from Ghana took place at the office of the Academy of Ukrainian Press (AUP). The delegation included representatives of the Ghanaian Parliament, including:
- Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs;
- Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, Member of Parliament;
- John Frimpong Osei, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee;
- Zuwera Ibrahimah Mohammed, Member of Parliament;
- Gifty Nuna Jiagge, Assistant to the Chairman of the Committee.
The delegation arrived in Ukraine at the invitation of Oleksandr Merezhko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation, to discuss important aspects of bilateral cooperation.

The meeting became a key event for deepening diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Ghana, which will contribute to the development of cooperation in the social and political spheres.
Valeriy Ivanov, President of the AUP, emphasized the importance of cooperation with international partners, including representatives of the Ghanaian Parliament, for the development of media education in both countries. It was emphasized that joint projects to improve media literacy could be an important component of this cooperation.

The meeting was also attended by Piotr Andrusecko, a correspondent for Gazeta Wyborcza, Andriy Kovalenko, AUP Executive Director, and Rostyslav Tsyren, local producer of the Belgian edition of De STANDARD. They spoke about the peculiarities of journalists' work in Ukraine, in particular on the front line.
The visit of the Ghanaian delegation was co-organized by the British company Flying Fox Media Ltd. which provided coordination between the parties and support during the visit.
We hope that the meeting was an important step towards the development of bilateral relations and will contribute to effective cooperation between Ukraine and Ghana in various fields, including education and media.
