Internet is a free space. Anyone can publish anything at any time and give access to everyone in the world. This allows to strengthen open societies in the world. However, a lot of freedom of expression has a disadvantage. This is a way for the spread of hate and disinformation with its harmful impact via computer networks.
So, Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom asked communication experts, Fillip Mueller and Norry Denner, to analyze the impact of these phenomena. They revealed in research how fake news influenced public opinion shaping, and then suggested multiple solutions of solving the problem. This is the second edition of high-profile research containing the recent data.
This publication is recommended by Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. The handbook is freely distributed and is not allowed for sale. It should not be used by political parties and electoral staff for political advertising during election campaigns (federal, land, local elections or elections to the European Parliament)
